Yesterday I was driving around in the car running errands and listening to the “The Message” which is a Christian satellite radio station on Sirius XM. Then they announced that they are celebrating March,16th as John 3:16 day. I thought “How wonderful that is !”
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 (NKJV)
A priest is driving down to New York and gets stopped for speeding in Connecticut.
The traffic officer smells alcohol on the priest’s breath and then sees an empty wine bottle on the floor of the car.
“Sir, have you been drinking?” asks the officer.
“Just water,” replies the priest.
Having none of this, the officer slowly and deliberately asks, “Then why do I smell wine?”
Without so much as a blink of an eye, the priest looks down at the bottle and exclaims, “Good Lord! He’s done it again!”
I cannot sing well at all but when I hear this song and I am in the car I just roll up the windows and sing along.
11 So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing. 1Thessalonians 5:11 (NLT)
2 Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2 (NIV)
A high school classmate of my old alma mater has recently connected with me on facebook. Cemie is a pastor at a local church and reaches out daily to other Christians with words of comfort, strength, and wisdom. Last week he wrote this on facebook and I immediately found my blog post for this week. Thank you Pastor Cemie.
21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Revelation 22:21 (KJV)
