2 Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2 (NIV)
So I had finished my Tuesday’s blog late Sunday night and on Monday morning I was reading the bible, as I do every day, and discovered the error in my blog. After having re-written the blog that morning, which is a feat for me, I went about my day doing house work and later would run some errands. Then Monday afternoon while running some errands for my parents I realized that this is not the blog I was suppose to write so here is the third and final blog for this week. I really need to listen to the Holy Spirit better.
The world has become a hostile place there is so much anger and prejudice. The bible tells us that these things are to happen but it’s so scary to see it happening. I can’t help that feel that Christians are in the middle of it as we are sent to do God’s work and ministry. Sometimes I get persecuted by my Christian peers and sometimes non-believers persecute me for my faith and my skin color. Among this hatred, anger, and prejudice I am thankful that I have found Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. My life is so much better as a Christian…it’s not easy to be a Christian but life is certainly a lot better as a Christian. These are the scriptures that I always keep in mind during those most difficult times.
10 God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. Matthew 5:10 (NLT)
But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, Matthew 5:44 ESV
Great words to live by while being persecuted but I found this quote from a great man that I just have to share with you.
Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it. Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it. Hatred darkens life; love illuminates it. – Martin Luther King Jr.
God bless all that read this with His love, light, grace, mercy, and wisdom. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.
21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Revelation 22:21 (KJV)
