Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2 (NIV)

I am presently reading the book of Ezekiel and found it so depressing that so many people turned away from our Heavenly Father God Almighty. In some ways the days of Ezekiel seem so similar to our present day. Often I am reminded of this scripture:

History merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the sun is truly new. Ecclesiastes 1:9 (NLT)

The books of Jeremiah and Ezekiel are filled with people turning their backs on God and worshiping idols not following God’s commandments and decrees somewhat similar to what is happening in our world today, After generations upon generations of sin God became angry and told Ezekiel many messages to give to the people of Israel mostly about their fate as a people that should turn back to God or risk being enslaved or dead because of the Babylonian armies that would come and destroy Jerusalem. Admittedly I am on chapter 23 and barely half way through the book of Ezekiel but one set of scripture stood out for me thus far.

31 Put all your rebellion behind you, and find yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O people of Israel? 32 I don’t want you to die, says the Sovereign Lord. Turn back and live! Ezekiel 18:31-32 (NLT)

Here our Heavenly Father God Almighty tells Ezekiel to tell the people of Jerusalem to turn away from their sins and worshipping idols and turn back to our Heavenly Father God Almighty. That God wants all of us to live and not die…that’s an awesome love in my opinion.

God bless all that read this with His love, light, grace, mercy, and wisdom. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.

21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Revelation 22:21 (KJV)
