Because it’s the Good Book.

Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2 (NIV)

So I am getting a little bit behind in my blogs primarily because the book of Galatians, Ephesians, and Philippians are short. The books of Galatians and Ephesians are both 6 chapters long which mean I have finished. Philippians is only 4 chapters long and I already finished that book so my blogs are three books behind so in an effort to catch up with myself there will be some occasional Sunday blogs this month.

In the book of Ephesians there are a few scriptures that have become of motivational and comfort value. This one is the most comforting and most mentioned…and I like it.

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God— not the result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8-10 (NRSV)

This tells me that as long as I believe that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior and that He died for my sins then by God’s grace I will be saved and I will have eternal life…that is God’s gift to us. Not because of the good works that we have done but by faith in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  John 3:16 (NKJV)

God bless all that read this with His love, light, grace, mercy, and wisdom. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.

21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Revelation 22:21 (KJV)
