2 Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2 (NIV)
Reading the book of Romans at present and I came across this.
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: Romans 3:10 (KJV)
And this too
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23 (KJV)
In the CGC website there is a video about the Christian gaming Community in the “About Us” section. In that video Rooster sums up the belief of the community and the above two scriptures are part of the video which I thought about after having read the 3rd chapter of the book of Romans.
In all my reading of the bible the only person that I know that is righteous is Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and if anyone says that they are righteous then quickly move away from them as to avoid any accidental electrical burns. I remembered this scripture that I had read in the book of Psalm a few months ago.
5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. Psalm 51:5 (KJV)
So my thought is that we are all born sinners basically because of Adam and Eve sinning by eating the forbidden fruit that God had told them not to eat. Some people would say that Adam is the original sinner I however would say that both Adam and Eve are but that’s just me.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 (KJV)
Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior died for the people of the world past, present, and future and even though we are sinners if we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and believe in Him and repent our sins than we will be saved.
9 because if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For one believes with the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved Romans 10:9-10 (NRSV)
God bless all that read this with His love, light, grace, mercy, and wisdom. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.
21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Revelation 22:21 (KJV)
P.S. And this scripture is still appropriate for the topic at hand so I added it…again.
42 And every day in the temple and at home they did not cease to teach and proclaim Jesus as the Messiah. Acts 5:42 (NRSV)
