Past, Present, and Future

Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2 (NIV)

As I have mentioned before I read the bible daily and often find something of interest to blog about. I start in Genesis and finish in Revelation I use to skip around but when blogging about the bible and all the wisdom contained therein I just start reading the bible from beginning to end and then start all over again blogging as I read. My problem is that I had no idea what I was supposed to blog about today. I read scripture and prayed and nothing was coming to mind except for this one scripture that I had read a few weeks back I prayed for a week and still nothing except for that one little scripture about King David and the census. At the time I thought it was coincidental and went on with my daily scripture readings but this particular scripture just kept coming to mind for no reason. I read 2Samuel 24 again about how David took a census throughout the land and then afterwards realized this.

10 David was conscience-stricken after he had counted the fighting men, and he said to the Lord, “I have sinned greatly in what I have done. Now, Lord, I beg you, take away the guilt of your servant. I have done a very foolish thing.”  2Samuel 24:10

So the lord sent a prophet named Gad to David that relayed this message.

13 So Gad went to David and said to him, “Shall there come on you three] years of famine in your land? Or three months of fleeing from your enemies while they pursue you? Or three days of plague in your land? Now then, think it over and decide how I should answer the one who sent me.”

14 David said to Gad, “I am in deep distress. Let us fall into the hands of the Lord, for his mercy is great; but do not let me fall into human hands.”

So the lord sent a plague that killed 70,000 people in three days. Now I am going to switch gears here and go to another scripture.

What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun.  Ecclesiastes 1:9 ESV

Here in the above scripture it becomes evident that even the bible is telling us that history repeats itself. Let me add just one more thing…

And David built there an altar to the Lord and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the Lord responded to the plea for the land, and the plague was averted from Israel.  2Samuel 24:25

I am not saying that the present day census is the cause of the Corona virus but I am saying that the response David, King David, to his sins or transgressions David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings and the Lord responded to the plea for the land, and the plague was averted from Israel.

So the point that I came to is that King David made amends with the lord for his sins, King David’s sins, and repented with burnt and peace offerings.

In this day and age all we have to do is pray we do not have to make burnt or peace offerings we just have to pray…everyone has to pray. King David was the king of all Israel and if all of the people and all of our politicians and all our senators and all our presidents past, present, and future and all the world leaders took one day to pray to our Heavenly Father God Almighty to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and the Holy Spirit and prayed for the forgiveness of all the sins and to take away the Corona virus forever…may be God would avert this plague.

14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

God bless all that read this with His love, light, grace, mercy, and wisdom. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.

21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Revelation 22:21 (KJV)
