For Other Reasons

Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2 (NIV)

This past week was difficult for me as I could not find anything to write about for today’s blog. I looked at the statistics for the website and sighed heavily as the glaring decline of visits to this website was painfully evident. I am thankful for what few followers we do have but it is so depressing to do the things that we do on the website with very little interest. I prayed I read the bible and prayed some more. I don’t have a lot of help and the website takes a portion of my daily schedule as well as taking care of my parents the house work and the errands that I try not to do unless I really have to. However, I was ready to give it up then I read this.

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.  Galatians 6:9

I realized that I need to keep writing these blogs about our Christian faith and hope that it would help someone somewhere in their life somehow. I cannot worry about the statistics for the website but I can worry about not doing God’s ministry. It doesn’t matter what other people think it just matters what we do for God and for our faith. Now I feel encouraged so here is today’s blog.

I live in Phoenix Arizona and the United States has become the epicenter of the Corona virus and for protests and near riots and riots. The death of George Floyd is undeniably the last straw that broke the proverbial camel’s back as people swarm the streets of so many cities from the East coast to the West coast in protest to deaths at the hands of our protectors.  I found this scripture in Proverbs 29.

Scoffers set a city aflame,
but the wise turn away wrath.
If a wise man has an argument with a fool,
the fool only rages and laughs, and there is no quiet.
10 Bloodthirsty men hate one who is blameless
and seek the life of the upright.
11 A fool gives full vent to his spirit,
but a wise man quietly holds it back.

Proverbs 29:8-11 ESV

So it becomes evident that I picked this particular scripture as a result of all the protest and riots occurring in the United States. We can see that there is a lot of anger in the country triggered by the death of George Floyd but these protests and near riots have gone on for so long that it makes one wonder if there are other individuals, of this country, that are perpetuating these protests for their own personal gain such as looting and other volatile like activities. There are a lot of people that are genuinely protesting in a peaceful nature and unfortunately, and for other reasons, the scoffers and the fools have allied themselves with these people. Be careful my Christian brothers and sisters protect your families and protect yourselves act with compassion but use wisdom as well. So here is a little word of wisdom and encouragement that I found for all the Christians that live in these volatile areas.

10 Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
Isaiah 41:10 NKJV

God bless all that read this with His love, light, grace, mercy, and wisdom. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.

21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Revelation 22:21 (KJV)
