This is an excerpt from then President Roosevelt speech he had given to Congress on December 8th.
“Mr. Vice President, Mr. Speaker, Members of the Senate, and of the House of Representatives:
Yesterday, December 7th, 1941—a date which will live in infamy—the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.
Today on December 7th 1941 over 2,300 men and women were killed by a Japanese surprise attack at Pearl Harbor.
From everyone from the Christian Gaming Community our prayers to all the veterans, families, and friends that have lost loved ones in this attack that catapulted the United States of America into World War II…Let us never forget these men and women of a great generation. Let us be grateful and never forget those that served in the past and the present and embrace those that will serve in the future.
