2 Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2 (NIV)
The book of Lamentations is only five chapters long, which makes it one of the few short books in the Holy Bible. Most scholars agree that Jeremiah is the author of this book. Which delves into the aftermath that occurred in Jerusalem and Judah after the Babylonian army killed, captured, and exiled their entire population it is not a gory description but it is definitely sad. In my reading of this book, I happened across the scripture below.
22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.”
25 The Lord is good to those who wait for him,
to the soul who seeks him.
In all the deaths and all the horrors of battle and war, Jeremiah gives us this glimmer of hope.
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 NIV
God bless all that read this with His love, light, grace, mercy, and wisdom. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.
21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Revelation 22:21 (KJV)
