Consider This…

Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2 (NIV)

The book of Joel is not very long but it sticks to the main theme that we have seen since the book of Jeremiah. Turn away from your sins and worshiping false idols, turn back to our Heavenly Father God Almighty, and follow God’s commandments.

In chapters, 1:1-2:17, of the book of Joel, he describes the devastating plague of locusts that devour the land destroying the vines, trees, and grain. Then there was a drought that left the land parched and burned this drought caused human and animal great hunger. Joel told the people to repent their sins and turn back to God.

Blow a trumpet in Zion; sound an alarm on my holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming; it is near, Joel 2:1

From Joel 2:17 to 3:21 Joel tell how God will restore the land and its people.

13 and rend your hearts and not your garments.”  Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love; and he relents over disaster. Joel 2:13

As in Jeremiah up to this book of Joel no matter the devastation God puts on the people God is always restoring the land the towns  and its people..

Remember:

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 NIV

God bless all that read this with His love, light, grace, mercy, and wisdom. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.
