This Week’s Blog

Today we have a member of the Christian Gaming Community and guest blogger that I hope will become a regular here.

In the gospels, we find Jesus dies on the cross for us and is raised, bearing the cross for us so we might be saved. We must take up our cross and carry it thru life like a race!

24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 26 Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. 27 No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. 1Corinthians 9:24-27

The goal of course for us is Salvation during our lifetime have run a good and faithful race.

“In an acceptable time i have heard you And in that day of Salvation I have helped you.” 2Corithians 6:2

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2Timothy4:7

As we end a year and start a new one, I want to convey how important it is to finish and start projects we are doing for the lord or ourselves. As we go thru life we will have our trails and sufferings but think of is as a race with obstacles that we must navigate in order to finish our race so we can achieve our goal of salvation let us also remember to do so with the lord in our lives.
